Let’s Shred -- Little Rock Guitar Wars Celebrates the Art of Guitar Playing
The Downtown Little Rock Partnership and Central Arkansas Library System are thrilled to announce the first ever "Little Rock Guitar Wars" presented by Delta Dental, Rocktown Music and Blue Chair Recording Studio. The amateur guitar competition will take place on Saturday, July 8th, at CALS Ron Robinson Theater in downtown Little Rock (100 River Market Ave, LR). Guitar enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels are invited to participate in this exciting competition. Registration is now open online.
"Little Rock Guitar Wars" will bring together Little Rock musicians to showcase their guitar skills and perform live in front of an enthusiastic audience. Both youth and adult divisions will have the chance to win prizes and connect with fellow guitar enthusiasts.
Dave Dunavant, an area guitar teacher and the mastermind behind the event, reached out to the Downtown Little Rock Partnership to help create the city’s first and only amateur guitar competition.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for guitar players of all ages and skill levels to showcase their talent, inspire others, and create lasting memories,” Dunavant said. “I encourage everyone to sign up and be a part of Little Rock’s first amateur guitar competition."
“We are looking forward to hosting the first ever ‘Little Rock Guitar Wars’ with the Downtown Little Rock Partnership," said Nate Coulter, Executive Director of the Central Arkansas Library System. “We welcome the opportunity to showcase local musicians and artists and other forms of cultural expression because that is a meaningful aspect of the library’s mission.
