NATURE UNLEASHED: EARTHQUAKES & HURRICANES
June 19 – September 6, 2010

The Center welcomes its newest temporary exhibit: "Nature Unleashed: Earthquakes & Hurricanes." This exhibit investigates the fascinating science behind these powerful natural phenomena. This exhibition is based upon "Nature Unleashed: Inside Natural Disasters," created by The Field Museum in Chicago.

SUPER SUMMER SATURDAYS
Super Summer Saturdays is an annual program where our newest exhibit, "Nature Unleashed: Earthquakes & Hurricanes," comes to life through exciting and educational activities for families. Special "Nature Unleashed" programming will be offered on the following dates from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.:

August 28

Super Summer Saturdays are free to the public; however regular admission fees apply to tour the Library.

ALL AROUND THE WORLD WEDNESDAYS
All Around the World Wednesdays feature a professional storytelling session followed by a docent-led tour for children ages 4-9.

Every week on Wednesday, the stories will highlight different cultures, artifacts related to permanent exhibit or the current temporary exhibit: "Nature Unleashed: Earthquakes & Hurricanes." The tour and storytelling last one hour. The tour is only 20 to 30 minutes.The tours are offered on Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

All Around the World Wednesdays are free to the public; however regular admission fees apply to tour the Library.

EDUCATORS’ RECEPTION
Wednesday, August 11
Join us for a special night for teachers! Preview school programs, tours and special events at the Clinton Presidential Center for the upcoming school year. There will be door prizes and delicious food and drinks from our on-site restaurant Forty Two.

SEVERE WEATHER WEDNESDAYS
In conjunction with the "Nature Unleashed: Earthquakes & Hurricanes," the Clinton Foundation and Clinton School of Public Service will host a special speaker series during the life of the exhibit. Speakers include meteorologists, storm chasers and other weather-related speakers.

Featuring Eric Overmyer, co-creator of HBO drama Treme, a series about post-Katrina New Orleans.

PATIO PARTIES AT FORTY TWO
Every Wednesday in August
Forty Two, the on-site restaurant at the Center, hosts Patio Parties every Wednesday. Beginning at 4:30 p.m., guests can enjoy chilled drink specials, Chef Peck’s tasty treats, and music to include artists Legoria Peyton and Friends, and Justin Spillard and the Little Rock Jazz Quartet. Party on the patio or inside at Forty Two.

BOOK SIGNING BY LAURA LING & LISA LING
Friday, August 13
On Friday, August 13th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Laura Ling and Lisa Ling will visit the Clinton Museum Store to sign copies of their new book, "Somewhere Inside: One Sister's Captivity in North Korea and the Other's Fight to Bring Her Home." The book recounts Laura's imprisonment and Lisa's unrelenting campaign to free her sister.

FREE LIBRARY ADMISSION DAY
Saturday, August 14
In honor of President Clinton's Birthday, admission at the Clinton Library and audio tours narrated by President Clinton are free throughout the day on Saturday, August 14. Enjoy complimentary birthday cake and have the opportunity to send birthday wishes to President Clinton. .

The first 500 children will receive FREE backpacks filled wiht school supplies!

AROUND THE WORLD THURSDAY: ATHENS, GREECE
Thursday, August 19
On the third Thursday of each month, Forty Two allows you to explore the sights, sounds, and flavors of countries across the globe. Guests can savor a five course tasting menu and enjoy special cultural entertainment. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Dinner served at 7 p.m.
