Our Vision & Mission
Downtown Little Rock Partnership (DLRP) is a nonprofit organization representing its members in pursuit of a remarkable urban experience for all who live, work, play and invest in downtown Little Rock..
DLRP strives to provide leadership in this endeavor by addressing or advocating for planning, legislation, transportation, economic development and numerous public and private initiatives. These iniatives serve to strengthen the overall downtown business, cultural, entertainment, recreational, and residential communities, and to enhance the image of downtown Little Rock.
DLRP also manages the Metrocentre Business Improvement District (BID No. 1) to provide supplemental services to the City of LIttle Rock for a cleaner, safer, and more vibrant downtown. Additionally, DLRP manages the Pulaski Empowerment Zone (PEZA), a federally designated area offering tax incentives to stimulate business growth and job creation in distressed areas of Pulaski County, including downtown Little Rock.

It has been a busy year at the Downtown little Rock Partnership! Here are a few of the many services we have provided our downtown community this year:
Participation in development of the updated Framework for Downtown Plan and the Pulaski Strategic Better Together Plan in an effort to improve the quality of life from both business and residential perspectives.
Leadership, advocacy, and fundraising assistance for MacArthur Park Groups development of a Master Plan to upgrade historic MacArthur Park to a Class A park designation, as well as better integrate the park with its historic neighborhood in an urban setting. Additionally, the group has developed the Museum Art & Heritage (Walking) Trail and the accompanying award winning Arkansas Political History Audio Tour (downloadable on littlerock.org - sightseeing).
Creation of a unique and comprehensive Downtown Menus & Venues Restaurant and Retail Guide
Advocacy for tax legislation encouraging downtown development and renewal as well as management of the Pulaski Empowerment Zone, a federally designated area offering tax incentives to stimulate business growth and job creation in distressed areas including urban Little Rock.
Coordination with the City of Little Rock and maintenance of the Change for the Better collection program for homeless agencies in an effort to help curb panhandling.
Management of the 45-block Metrocentre Business Improvement District. Services include trash pickup of an estimated 85 tons per year, planting and maintenance of 972 plants, as well as management of the parking deck on Seventh Street.
Our Weekly E-Mail Update, our Online Member Directory and our website (www.downtownlr.com) are ongoing DLRP member benefits. Our 2009 Online Membership Directory enables our members to better communicate with each other and broaden their business network.
While the economy seems like it may have an effect on downtown development, this is not the time to sit back and wait for something to happen. We have a very aggressive plan for building a stronger downtown. Join us as we prepare for the future!
